Tune Ups & Repair
Since we work on a first-come, first-served basis, please be aware that you may need to leave your bike a day or two. We offer several types of general services. Prices vary depending on the amount of work required.
Seasonal Lubrication and Basic Adjustments
This service is a "light duty" tune up at a reduced cost. It includes cleaning and lubricating the drivetrain, cables and all pivot points, in addition to checking and adjusting wheels, crankset and headset, brakes and derailleurs as needed. We top it off with a light frame polishing and setting proper air pressure.
Standard Tune up
Strongly recommended every 2 - 3 years. This is an essential, deeper cleaning and lubrication regime to all bicycle components.
This includes:
- Complete removal and deep cleaning of the entire drivetrain.
- Thorough multistage lubricating of freewheel/freehub & chain.
- Deep cleaning and relubricating of brake and derailleur systems.
- Inspection and realignment of rear frame derailleur hanger.
- Detatch and complete relubrication of all cables.
- Advanced wheel truing, including rim/hub alignment.
- Cleaning and lubricating of pedals.
- Extended frame cleaning and polishing.
Complete Overhaul
Recommended every 3 - 5 years. - Our Complete Overhaul offers a complete view of the bicycle's operations.
This includes everything above, plus:
- Complete disassembly, cleaning, lubricating and rebuilding of all major bearing areas to remove any abrasive particulates.
- Inspection of critical frame and derailleur alignments.
Safety Check
Inspect wheels, brakes, bearing and drivetrain components. Adjustments are made as needed to help ensure an efficient ride. Only recommended for bikes in good/clean basic condition.
